I forgotten planet outside of Convent or UNSC control. Must likely the reason is because of the harsh, cold blizzards that happen here. There is a rumor that a former forerunner base lies on an island to the far north.

Earth is one of the terrestrial planets in the Solar System and is the home planet of the human race, as well as many other various life forms. It is the capital planet of the United Nations, Unified Earth Government, and the UNSC and Colonial Administration Authority have a strong presence on Earth as well. Earth was possibly the most populated planet of the human space territories.

Located in the Epsilon Eridani star system in FLEETCOM Sector One, Reach was one of the headquarters for the UNSC and the main supplier of military and civilian spacecraft. Located there was the military installation where the Spartans were trained. Originally colonized for its rich titanium deposits, Reach had mines throughout it running thousands of meters deep. HIGHCOM, FLEETCOM and the Marine Corps had headquarters on Reach, as well as many primary ONI bases, which include CASTLE Base. It was the most populated planet after Earth in the UNSC.

A UNSC colony world, little has been revealed about this planet, it is the location of the Luxor Spaceport and Elysium City, where John-117 grew up until he was abducted and sent into the Spartan-II program in 2517. John never met his family after he was abducted and after 2530 the planet was glassed by the Covenant. It is also to be noted that it is a place of much hostility against the UNSC, as Dr. Halsey stated many pirates and rebels were operating from the system. John later returned there in 2525 with the other Spartan-II's aboard the Destroyer UNSC Pioneer to board the cargo freighter Laden and travel to a rebel base, Eridanus Secundus in the system's asteroid field. In fact, the asteroid Eridanus Secundus is where John 117 had his first mission, to capture the rebel leader, Col. Robert Watts.

Chi Ceti is a Yellow Star, 77 Light Years from Earth. The Chi Ceti System is home to planet Chi Ceti IV, on the very fringes of the outer colonies. The planet has a top-secret installation on its surface, the Damascus Testing Facility, where the SPARTAN-IIs were upgraded with their refined Mark IV MJOLNIR armor during the Battle of Chi Ceti. The facility was abandoned and, it being the only known Human installation on the planet, it is however unlikely that the planet was destroyed and glassed by the Covenant ensuing the evacuation. When the Covenant attacked, the SPARTAN-IIs boarded their ship, and Samuel-034 died in the process. The Mark VI Powered Assault Armor/EOD variant was also developed at the Damascus facility in this system.

Sigma Octanus IV, located in the Sigma Octanus star system, is an out-of-the-way colony planet with one moon and a population of nearly seventeen million citizens before The Battle of Sigma Octanus IV. It features a warm, humid atmosphere that is perfect for growing warm weather crops, like rice. The planet has many rice fields. Much of the planet is a dense jungle and it appears that a meteor containing Forerunner artifacts crashed on the planet before Humanity's arrival.
