Spartans the warriors of Sparta were known as the fiercest warriors of all time. In the year 2511 not much has changed. Spartans don’t fight for Sparta now they fight for… humanity their enemy is not the Persians it is the Covenant. Like the Spartans from Roman times we will fight to our last berth.
My story starts in the year 2535 I was taken from my family at birth and when I was able to walk I was trained to fight and to kill. I had no idea of what they Had planed for me but all I knew was I Had to do it. When I was just 18 I went on a routine patrol when my squad was attacked. I was the only survivor.
When I came to I was on the ground my convoy having just bin hit with a plasma balm was completely destroyed I terned to see if anyone had survived there was only one I don’t know what his name was and I didn’t get a chance to ask or even to thank him. He was struck down by a brute his head cut clean of by the monsters Brute shot. Just then the brute turned to finish me of I could not move Both my legs and my left arm were broken I saw a shot gun I grabbed it with my right hand and shot . I hit the brute in the right arm and he yelled in pan. He started to charge but just then there was a blast and the brute fell to the ground having just bin shot in the head. I was rescued by a Spartan I heard hear say heard her say her name was Linda and then I past out from the immense pane I was in.

The Spartans were on a rescue mission. They had heard that the covenant had attacked this area of Earth, where a few patrols were talking place. The Spartans had been too far away to give any help in fighting off most of the covenant, but they could help the survivors. John ordered everyone to stay in groups of three as they scouted the area. John, Linda, and Fred were in a group together. They made their way into a clearing to see a brute slice someone's head off, then charge towards another, who tried to defend himself. Linda knew that if they didn't do anything, the brute was going to kill him. She knew how lucky this man was. She picked up her Sniper Rifle and took one shot to his head. The brute fell limp and collapsed, dead. She walked up to the man lying on the ground. "Hi. I'm Linda. We're here to get you out of here," she said. She wasn't sure if he heard her or not, because he passed out as soon as the words were out of her mouth. She put some of the foam they used to stop wounds from bleeding before the Spartans could receive proper treatment. Spartans seldom had to use this, unless they were in a huge fight. She put the foam in the man's wounds and left a Nav point in her helmet so she could come back to him later. She and the others continued their search.
*****
After a few hours of searching, no other survivors had been found. Linda picked up the wounded man and brought him aboard the Pelican. In no time at all they were back in the Frigate. The other Spartans had other places to be, so Linda stayed in the Med-bay with the man. She sat there and waited until he came to.

I awoke with a start I reached for my shot gun but it was not there. I yelled out in pane do to my injury's I still had no idea where I was all I knew was I could not move. I started to panic then I saw I was not alone in what I now came to realize was a medical wing. There was a spartan on the far side of the room. She was talking to a doctor when I yelled out in pane she started to come over to me. I tried to stand up but could not both my legs and my left arm were broken.

Linda looked over when she heard the man yell. She walked over to him when he tried to stand up. "Don't get up," she said as she pushed him back onto the bed, "you need to rest. You're wounds aren't completely healed yet." He sighed and stared up at the ceiling. "How long was I out?" he asked her. "A good 16 hours," she answered. "Do you know exactly what happened back down there?" She gestured towards the planet that was visible out the window.

All I can remember is a loud explosion then I was thrown from my Warthog. When I regained conciseness I could not move do to my injures then a Marine dragged me to safety. then he... he... he died trying to protect me until backup came. Thats when the brute... the brute, Tim fell silent remembering what happened. I'm sorry thats all I can remember. I wish I could tell you more but my mission was top secret and still is.

Linda rolled her eyes. Everything was top secret these days. "Story of my life..." she whispered, but she was sure he could hear her. Well, if he couldn't tell her anything, there was really nothing else she could do for him. She headed out the door. If he gave any information that could help her help him, the doctors would tell her.

As i sleep that night I started to dream. I was at base getting bereft on my mission it was a simple search and retrieve mission. There was a convoy that was hit hard by a army of Elites our mission was to find a lone surviver that might have information on the Covenant invasion. Of course I had to have a bad habit of sleep talking so when I awoke one of the doctors started asking me questions about my mission. All i sad was I need to speak to your commanding officer.

Journal Entry 53 we were sent on a mission to check out some reports of strange activity picked up by satellites in orbit. Everything was fine until our pelican pilot was killed by a few well placed shots from a beam rifle. two men died in the crash and the rest were slaughtered like cows on the market. The one thing that haunts me is the laughter they made as they killed us one by one. Full of anger I rushed and killed one of the elites who seemed to have a very strange armor. I used his energy sword to kill the rest. It's almost dark and I need to get some sleep. I just hope they won't find me tonight. I sent out a distress signal over the pelican's radio, and help should be here within a day or two.

Linda was in her quarters waiting for the doctors. She figured he'd break eventually. He did seem like the type to keep secrets. She sat their until her COM channel finally turned on from the medical wing. "Did he say anything yet?" she asked. "No.He says he wants to talk to our commanding officer. So I assume he means you." "I'll be right there," Linda said then shut off the COM. She headed down to the Medical wing. ***** Linda walked into the room and took a seat next to the soldier's bed. "You wanted to talk to me?" she asked him.

Yes, it is about what I was doing on that planet. My squad was on a search and retrieve mission. We were looking for a surviver of a convoy that was hit by an army of Elites we have reason to believe that the surviver has intelligence on how to stop the Covenant invasion. Our main priority was to retrieve the information. Retrieving the surviver was a secondary mission. We found a Covenant AI in the wreckage but no surviver it was my call to look for the surviver. About 20 clicks north of the wreckage we found sins of a huge Battle 20 Elites were dead. We decided to search the caves for survives. Thats when we got ambushed. That surviver is still down there because I mest up and my entire platoon was killed all because of me.

The nest day I woke up in a cold sweat having dreamed of the horrific scene that unfolded that fateful day. I continued on, but with my navigation part of my suit destroyed from the crash I had no idea where to go next. I ran into a small group of brutes and they weren't much of a challenge, and I've noticed that my sword hasn't depleted yet which I find strange. Well once again its getting dark and I should find refuge soon. From that pack of brutes I assume there after me and the Intel I have. I just hope God's great light will protect me tonight.

Kevin was on one of the catwalks in the hangar, and had been there for several hours, unaware of what had been going on with the others. He didn't care to much, though. He knew at this point that the Covenant had an extreme strategical advantage if they where to assault their position, so Kevin leaned against the rail, his helmet on the floor next to him as he repeatedly cocked worked the chamber on his Battle Rifle to prevent jamming during a firefight. If the Covenant where to attack, Kevin would be ready.
When he gathered that his gun was prepared for battle any time, he slung it across his back on his armor and lifted his helmet, carrying it against his side as he walked down, off the catwalk and out of the hangar, heading towards the medical wing, passing a few Marines on the way who had just come back from combat, still shivering from the stress battle exerted on their fragile, unmodified human DNA.
He slipped in through the doorway, looking up and down at the hospital beds all with injured Marine's on them. A few of them where still bleeding profusely as the doctors and nurses made their way around the wing administering miedical attention one by one in a painstakeingly slow process.
Kevin walked past one bed with a Marine that had been in his squad on it. He was bleeding out one of his eyes sockets. It took Kevin a few moments to register that the man's optic nerve was hanging out and his eye was nowhere to be seen. He was smiling, though, and raised his hand. Kevin took it and held it tight, shaking it and smiling back, waiting for the man to die before finally letting go, having to peel away his death grip before continueing on his walk.
